SISAB, Skolfastigheter i Stockholm AB, is a municipal company for the ownership and management of most of Stockholm’s pre-schools, compulsory schools and upper-secondary schools. Our objective is to provide a sound, pleasant and practical educational environment.
SISAB owns and manages 590 pre-schools, primary schools, secondary schools and upper-secondary schools in Stockholm. In total, the properties encompass 1.7 million square metres and each day more than 100,000 children and adults enter our schools.
Most properties are leased to the City of Stockholm but approximately ten percent is rented out to independent schools and as housing and commercial space.
In addition to maintenance, SISAB has extensive rebuilding activities as well as some new construction. We annually invest SEK 500 million in maintenance, rebuilding and new construction.
SISAB has a staff of 160 who work to provide a good educational environment in sound, pleasant and suitable premises for present-day and future schools.
